This is a solid set of centrifuge tubes.I use these for agar slants for long-term mycelium storage.The tubes survived the trip through the autoclave, however one of the tubes was pushing against another object (my fault for not supporting it better), and it got deformed when it got hot. The other tubes from the same run were just fine, so as long as you're supporting the tubes properly, this would not be an issue.I like the small indents in the cap that indicates when the cap is fully screwed on and it prevents the tube from accidentally getting unscrewed. Nice touch.
These tubes are sturdy and seal well. I use them to store pollen for future use and they work excellent for that purpose. They are the perfect size to hold small amounts of pollen and a small dessicant pack. Ample room on the outside for labeling. I am sure they work quite well for other needs that require secure and clean storage.
These centrifuge tubes are good for my lab. I got 24 pieces, each 50 ml. They are natural color and have a pointy bottom. They are made in Japan, which I like for good quality. They are useful for many lab tasks. The seal well and no leaks are noticed. They seems durable!
