Update: After getting in touch with the seller about the broken dials, they were willing to replace the pippetor with a functioning one. The new one works exactly as expected while dialing in my setting and, like even the broken one, is accurate when used. Hopefully this is a sign that my broken one was a one off.Original:Unfortunately, mine arrived damaged even though there was no sign of issues with the packaging. The middle slider for adjusting the volume slides in between adjustments, making it a bit more tedious than I'd like when setting it.There is a minor chipped part on the body of the pipettor as well a piece that labels the volume range of the pipettor that was not attached due to a bent piece. Fixable after unbending it and reattaching though. I can only conclude that somewhere between their calibration and shipping to me it got banged around a lot? Who knows. While using it is generally straightforward, the manual only comes in Japanese. Easy enough to use an app to translate, but including a translated version would seem apropos. If it wasn't for those issues though, I'd say it was a good pipettor. When dialed in, as best as possible with the sliding dials, it does still seem to be accurate. Having the two options to slowly adjust or speed through it when making large volume changes is nice and convenient. Both the buttons, for fluids and ejecting the tip, work smoothly with no issues. I'm surprised with all the other damage it manages to still be accurate, so that is a plus. But overall I can't recommend it given the state of the one I received.

How I Use It:So I’ve been using this Watson pipette for two months mainly for my small business.Features that stood out to me:The auto dose works great, and I also really liked repeatability of dosing because it simplifies my day a lot. The capacity was pretty good too, I tend to get more work done.My Personal Experience:If I compare this one against the others I’ve used, this one is just plain better. I wasn’t expecting to like the hook as much as I did.Pros and Cons:What was good: accurate.What was not: pricey.Durability:After two months, it still does its job the first time every time with no fuss. I can’t really ask for more.Final Thoughts:Overall this is best for pro types. It’s been good for me and my needs and I’d buy it again.

Well, this is by far the most expensive pipette I own. I do own a few other micropipettes, but none that touch close to this one. The action, the plunger, eughnngh, it's so smooth. I never realized that my other micros were so "stiff" on their plungers. Utterly wild! Makes me wish I had gotten the 1000ul one just to use it more! Changing the volume is super easy and smooth. It's stepless so you can adjust basically exactly where you want.The one thing I somewhat dislike, it's very rattly. Like it's well made and well built, but in the hand it feels a bit.... lose. I'm fairly certain that's the ejector mechanisms fault, so nothing to worry about.All in all, jeez this is a nice pipette. Has all the features and functionality you'd expect. Comes with a calibration document as well. Manual is all in Japanese iirc, but if you've ever used one before it's pretty straight forward.If you haven't (well, I'd recommend a cheaper one), it's worth looking at a 2 minute tutorial on how to use one "properly", especially to avoid damaging your nice fancy pipette!

This pipette works great for lab use. Easy to adjust, and the volume settings feel precise. Comfortable to hold for long periods too.

Everything about this micropipette is so much better than the cheap China micropipettes. These are Made in Japan and several notches higher quality, while still being affordable. The digit readout is easy to see for precise dispensing, I like the color coded tops to distinguish the capacity. Each one has a calibration report so you know it's accurate.This is my favorite micropipette for the balance between quality and cost.

The pipette seems accurate and consistent, based on weighing water. It has a two-stage plunger whose stop is distinct, but not hard to press through. The plunger feels reasonably light, but I'm not doing this thousands of times a day. The volume adjustment is made either by twisting the plunger or twisting a ring at the top of the body. The ring changes the volume several times faster than the plunger. There's a lock switch so that once you've selected the volume it won't move. Changing the volume changes how far the plunger depresses. The curled grip cover seems a little small and overly curled. I don't have very large hands, and the "point" would still sometimes want to dig into my hand. I got the tips from the same manufacturer and they seemed like generic tips, but they attached just fine and released with seemingly normal force.I'm not a connoisseur and I don't have an Eppendorf or a Gilson to compare it to, but this feels well made and accurate.

The plunger operates very smoothly, and you can clearly feel the difference between the first and second stops. The tool is comfortable to hold and easy to adjust. The locking lever works well for preventing mistakes while remaining simple to disengage when desired. An individually serialized calibration report provides high confidence in accuracy. The instruction manual is only in Japanese, but it's all straightforward enough to figure out (or use a translation app). All told, excellent quality and functionality. Highly recommended.
