Good news—we finally received the long-awaited shipment from Japan over the weekend!
Many of the items that were marked “Sold Out” on our website will soon be back on the shelves in the U.S.
However… please note:
From the end of April to early May, Japan enters a series of national holidays known as Golden Week, which can cause some shipping and response delays.
🕐 Regular business days: Monday–Friday
🚫 Closed: April 29 (Tue), May 5 (Mon), May 6 (Tue)
(As usual, we are closed on weekends.)
🎌 What is Golden Week?
Golden Week is one of the longest holiday seasons in Japan, made up of:
May 3: Constitution Memorial Day
May 4: Greenery Day
May 5: Children’s Day
Depending on how the calendar lines up, it can become a 5- to 10-day holiday for many people, perfect for travel both in Japan and abroad.
During this time, train travel gets intense—some Shinkansen (bullet trains) report over 130% occupancy in non-reserved seats.
In the past, it even reached 200%... which is Tokyo commuter-train level crowded!
🚄 JR Pass & Travel Tips
JR Pass prices have increased significantly over the years, and eligibility has become stricter—even long-term overseas Japanese residents often can't purchase one anymore.

🛠️ May 1st = Labour Day? Not in Japan
Unlike many countries, Japan doesn’t celebrate Labour Day on May 1st.
But with so many holidays already, maybe that’s not surprising!
Still, it’s worth remembering: the value of a holiday isn’t just in getting a day off—it’s about understanding what it means.

No exotic trips here—I’ll be sticking to my usual workouts and watching baseball.
Simple, but it is my “golden.”haha
